WINTER CLASS SCHEDULE - 2012
ON GOING/WEEKLY:
DROP IN: Beginners and beyond
Every TUES/WED/THURS 12-1 or SUNDAY 12-1. Learn to knit or crochet at your own pace: perfect for beginners. Take one session, and then come back when you're ready for more! Not a beginner but want to learn a particular technique or work on a specific skill or project? Drop in!
NO PRE-REGISTRATION

DROP IN: Finishing Friday
Need a little push to finish that project that has 10 rows left? Want someone to check your seaming as you go? Finishing Fridays is just for you! Bring your project, your notions and finish off your project!

PROJECT CLASSES:
SOCKS!
Wed PM 7:00-8:30 pm
Jan 25th, Feb 1 and Feb 8th
Learn to make socks in this 3 session class. Using chunky yarn we'll knit through the 4 basic parts of a sock, master knitting the round using dpns, and practice kitchener stitch.
Pre-requisite: must be proficient in basic knit skills, including casting on, knit, purl, and reading and following a pattern.
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
$90/pattern included. Yarn must be purchased separately from Knitknack.
MY FIRST SWEATER: for Baby

Have a new baby or want to make someone a special gift? Make this perfect first garment project: learn to read a pattern, practice your knit skills, learn the basics of seaming and picking up stitches and more!
Pre-requisite: must know how to cast on and knit.

MY FIRST SWEATER: Top Down

Want to skip the seaming and try it on as you go for a perfect fit? Make a Top Down sweater. Knit on circular needles, using dpns for the sleeves, this class will show you how to knit from the neck down and get the perfect fitting cardigan.

BRIOCHE:

Feb 4th & Feb 11th
Start your Saturday off with some brioche. Sound tasty? It is! This wonderful technique is so much fun once you get the rhythm of it. Learn the basics and make a swatch using two colors. Practice, practice, practice...then join us for a Brioche KAL starting later in the month, featuring Hosta, a gorgeous scarf from Twist Collective that will give your further mastery of your brioche skills while introducing to even more brioche fun!
Pre-requisite: must be proficient in basic knit skills, including casting on, knit, purl, and reading and following a pattern. This is an advanced beginner workshop.

Stranded two-handed

Don't get stranded by color work! Join us for an introduction to colorwork and knitting with two yarns. Learn to knit stranded two-handed, practice on a headband that uses two colors of worsted weight yarns.
Pre-requisite: advanced beginner skills: all basic knit skills plus knitting in the round
